FAQ

Common Questions

Finished ASL classes, but still not confident interpreting?
Sign & Wander helps ASL students, ITP graduates, and interpreters build confidence through Deaf-led practice scenarios, receptive skill development, ASL structure, vocabulary, and real-world interpreting practice you can complete at your own pace.
Do I need any prior ASL experience?
Some lessons are beginner-friendly, but Sign & Wander is especially designed for learners who already know some ASL and want to improve fluency, receptive and expressive skills, and real-world communication. It's also built for those working toward becoming a successful interpreter — ITP graduates and aspiring interpreters who want to bridge the gap between the classroom and real assignments through Deaf-led practice, receptive and expressive training, and authentic interpreting scenarios.
What is included in the membership?
Your membership includes access to video lessons, practice resources, vocabulary support, and downloadable documents designed to help you continue building your ASL and interpreting skills at your own pace.
Can I cancel or change my membership plan?
You're never locked in — there are no long-term contracts and your membership won't renew automatically. When your term ends, you can choose to renew or switch plans. Please note that all payments are non-refundable.
What is International Sign?
International Sign is a contact variety of sign language used across national and cultural boundaries. Jennifer offers dedicated instruction for learners who need communication skills beyond ASL.
Do I earn RID CEUs?
Not currently. The membership is focused on practical, real-world skill-building — receptive practice, vocabulary, ASL structure, and interpreting scenarios you can work through at your own pace. Official RID CEUs are planned for the future, and waitlist members will be the first to know when they become available.
When does the membership launch?
The Wanderer Membership is coming soon — join the waitlist to be the first to get the launch date and early access. The founding price ($9.99/month, locked in for life) is available for the first 60 days after launch, so waitlist members get the first chance to lock it in before it goes to $19.99/month.
How much does the membership cost?
Membership is $9.99/month as a founding offer during the first 60 days after launch — join in that window and you keep $9.99/month for life as long as you stay subscribed. After the founding period, the regular price is $19.99/month. There are no long-term contracts and your membership won't auto-renew; you decide whether to continue when your term ends.
How do I access the lessons?
Everything is online and self-paced. As a member, you can stream the video lessons and download practice resources anytime, on any device, and learn at your own pace.
Who teaches the lessons?
Sign & Wander is led by Jennifer — a Deaf ASL educator, Deaf interpreter, and International Sign interpreter with more than 25 years of teaching experience. Lessons also feature a variety of Deaf signers, so you get exposure to different signing styles, regional variation, and authentic receptive practice.
Can I get a refund?
All payments are final. Both monthly and annual memberships are non-refundable, so please make sure the plan is right for you before subscribing.
Does my membership renew automatically?
No. Your card is never charged automatically and your membership won't auto-renew. When your month or year ends, you simply choose whether to renew — you'll never be billed without doing it yourself.
